The ship depicted on the lid of this box, was identified as the Clanranald through the Marryat code flags flying from her stern. It follows therefore that the picture was painted some time between 1868 and 1874. Click here to read more.

We have many interesting documents in our collection.

 

This Porthole was salvaged from the Isle of Mann Steamer 'The Lady of Mann' built in 1930. She served at the evacuation of Dunkirk.
